Open Atelier People: Daniele Sepe

Text by Daniele Sepe

What do you do?

I am deputy director of AMAT. I work both for the management of the organisation and for the concept and development of programs and projects, in network with partners at local and international levels. Generating opportunities in the cultural and creative sector for a number of different stakeholders is the most important aspect of my work.

“Open Atelier is a chance to dedicate time to implement new models of promoting arts in an intercultural and interdisciplinary approach”

What part of your institution is your favourite – i.e., a painting, a view, the colleagues, or something completely different – and why?

The part of my work at AMAT I prefer is the ‘here and now’ dimension of the theatre: it represents the uniqueness of each professional performance and rewards of all the work which is necessary before and after the happening. The creativity of artists, writers, directors, dancers, composers, and performers is an infinite possibility to know myself and the world around me.

Why is Open Atelier important to you and what are you looking forward to?

Open Atelier is a gift! It is the chance to stop the ordinary way to work in order to dedicate time to think and implement new models of promoting arts in an intercultural and interdisciplinary approach. The dialogue with the Museums and the support of the Universities invites all of us (cultural managers, artists, communities, audiences) to renovate and expand the range of ways to do our part.
