TANK Analog Photography Festival

Open Atelier Project at the TANK Analog Photography Festival in Pesaro, Italy 

The 3rd of June curator and senior researcher from Art Museums of Skagen, Mette Bøgh Jensen, participated in the TANK Analog Photography Festival, promoted by Associazione Terrae in Pesaro with a talk. The 2023 edition of the festival was dedicated to the theme "Apology of the Margin” and the title of Jensen’s talk was “Artists on the Margin. The Artists’ Colony in Skagen and Photography” and focused on a selection of b/w photos from the museum collection that had the artist community as the subject. Jensen presented the Skagen artist colony for an Italian audience and talked about how Skagen – on the margin of Denmark – promoted a community of artists from Scandinavian as well as from other countries.
