Aalborg University, Denmark.

Aalborg University was established in 1974 and has become an important player in the international scene within the top-rated scientific environments. The institution is strong on applied sciences and the students' close contact to the outside world throughout their studies, and it is especially renowned as a leading educational institution within Problem-Based Learning (PBL), through it wishes to secure flexible interaction between theory and practice in the development of the project. One of the principles of the PBL model is to work on a problem-oriented basis and complete projects of an advanced academic standard. This approach is characterized by combining a central engagement in local, regional and national issues with an active commitment to international collaboration.

Aalborg University will contribute to the project with practical and accademic support for cultural heritage, design theory and co-design, development and execution of the programme. Importantly by involving Center for Food Science, Design and Experience by exploiting the practice and theory of the PBL methodology, which has a relevant role in the structure and framework of the Open Atelier Workshops.
