Open Atelier workshop and session at Art Biennale in Venice / day 06 / BIENNALE SESSION
After spending the morning visiting the galleries at Art Biennale Arsenale, the participants gathered at Sala d’Armi G, where the Open Atelier Biennale Session started at the beginning of the afternoon.
The public was welcomed by Lotte Vittrup Krukiewicz, the project leader from Art Museums of Skagen, who set the framework of the Biennale Session by introducing Open Atelier’s objectives, consortium, and program.
The event prosecuted with the presentation of the results of the Open Atelier Competition, and the award ceremony dedicated to its winners – Greta Nizza (Italy) in the category dedicated to Einar Jónsson Museum, Giulio Giordano and Marzia Micelisopo (Italy) in the category dedicated to Millesgården, Natalia Anna Wojtasik (Poland) in the category dedicated to Plečnik House, and Luca Vergano (Italy) in the category dedicated to Art Museums of Skagen.
The peak of the event was reached when the results of the Open Atelier Workshop in Venice were displayed through the presentation of the video conceived and edited by Mara Cerri and Angelo Loy to narrate the processes and outcomes of this experience. The projection was very well received, and lengthily applauded by the audience; it particularly stirred the emotions of the students, whose works were presented in the conclusion of the video.
The Biennale Session was concluded by Anna Marie Fisker, from Art Museums of Skagen, who shared an insightful overview of the experience, that resulted in a fruitful, uplifting, and inspiring format for all the participants.
